Simple but powerful. Truth. Much needed.

“I disobey. God convicts and restores. I doubt. God works to make me a person of faith. I hunger. God feeds me with the bounty of his grace.”

So he began his devotion. The rest of the devotion is below (paragraphs are mine).

Plenteous grace is what I’ve been given; grace that is deeper, fuller, richer, and greater than my sin.

This grace does not suspend operations in the face of my disobedience. It will not turn its back in the face of my doubt. It will not stand idly by in the face of my hunger.

No, this is rich grace, perseverant grace, tender grace, powerful grace. There is really nothing like it, because it comes from the hand of God.

“Grace, grace, God’s grace/Grace that will pardon and cleanse within/Grace, grace, God’s grace/Grace that is greater than all our sin.” Words to an old hymn I remember.

Where would I be without grace? Paul knows where: “to save sinners of who I am foremost. But I received mercy … Jesus Christ might display His perfect patience…” I shudder to think what it would like and where I would be without grace. “Father, thank you seems so simple, so short of words to say.  But I don’t know what else to say. Your grace is magnificent and I am forever grateful for it.”
