A reason to know, read and understand the Word:
“You and I simply cannot know all that we need to know in order to be what we’re supposed to be and to do what we’re supposed to do by means of personal experience and collective research. There is a body of wisdom that comes to us only by means of revelation. God first reveals this wisdom to use in his grand redemptive book, the Bible, and then he opens our eyes and hearts so that we can receive and understand what he has revealed. Without this ministry of illumining grace, these things would be at worst completely concealed from us and at best a whole lot of foolishness to us. We need Christ to come to us by his Spirit to reveal his mind to us so that we can think his thoughts after him.”
“Father, I need my eyes open to the mysteries of your Word. But more than mysteries, to the power, and the magnificence, and the wisdom, and the greatness, and the glories found in your Word. Open my eyes. Open my heart. As the old song says, “Open my eyes that I may see/Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me/Place in my hand the wonderful key/That shall unclasp and set me free/ Silently now I wait for Thee/Ready my God Thy will to see/Open my eyes illumine me/Spirit divine.” (Side note: Sorry about the King James English but that was the way the song was written. 🙂 ). Father God, show me your Word.”

Amen! Through His Word, His will is revealed.
Blessings, Bill!
Yep. All wisdom comes by Him.
