To put your mind in tune with the true spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I would share this with you. I have no clue where it comes from:
HOW TO OBSERVE THANKSGIVING
Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Count on God instead of yourself.
Take to heart the words to the old hymn:
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God has done.
May your Thanksgiving be a day of meaning and may you recover the true blessings of being thankful. I will see you, Lord willing, on Monday. Have a grateful and fantastic Thanksgiving (and don’t eat too much). 🙂

I have never seen that “How to Observe Thanksgiving” piece before, Bill, but it is perfect! Hope yours is definitely a time to count the good times.
Blessings!
I’m glad I was able to share something new Martha. 🙂 I pray you and Danny (and any family that comes your way) have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Thanks Bill, I hope you and your family have a grateful and blessed day too.
Thank you Gail. Be careful traveling to see and spend time with your family
Happy Thanksgiving, Bill!
Thanks Glynn! You too! Have a grateful day.
